Shabbat Alive
Shabbat Alive!
Shabbat Alive! is an exhilarating musical service where worshippers celebrate with upbeat, contemporary arrangements of the traditional Sabbath prayers. It is one of the most popular services at Temple Emanu-El, attracting hundreds of guests from the greater community. Be sure to come early to get a good seat and parking place.
The energy is electric at Shabbat Alive!, with a full band lifting the sanctuary. Our music director brings us the latest compositions from around the Jewish world, or treats us to one of our classic favorites. Guest musicians lend their talents, and occasionally one of our friends from the symphony will join the band.
Shabbat Alive! services are held only three times a year. Please contact the Temple for upcoming dates.
