Growing Together: Planning Our Future

You might think that the most important part of our capital campaign is how much money we raise; however, the most significant piece is YOUR participation. We ask you to carefully consider what Temple Emanu-El means to you and how you can support our capital campaign. Every gift – no matter the dollar amount – will help us to get that much closer to reaching our goal.

We hope you will find the creative ideas below helpful as you think about your support: 

• Naming Opportunities are available for each key section as well as classrooms and meeting rooms. 
• Gifts of Cash: Donors may choose to give cash either on a one-time or ongoing (weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly) basis, by check or electronically. 
• Gifts of Securities: Contributing appreciated stocks or bonds can be advantageous to both the donor and the temple.
• IRA Transfers (Qualified Charitable Distributions): A qualified charitable distribution is a distribution from an IRA owned by an individual 72½ or older, and paid directly from the IRA to a qualified charity, such as Temple Emanu-El. Your accountant or wealth advisor can help you determine whether you are eligible to make such a distribution.
• Encourage Others to Give: Having a birthday bash, retirement party or anniversary celebration? Consider inviting your friends to contribute to Temple Emanu-El's capital campaign in lieu of gifts.
