Important COVID-19 Update:

Like all of you, temple leadership has been closely monitoring COVID-19 and what it means for us. In following CDC guidelines to protect our members, guests, and staff, all services and events will be held virtually for the foreseeable future.  Shabbat services will be enjoyed via live stream. Other events will be held via Zoom or Facebook.

Temple Emanu-El is a place of family and community. It is a place where people come together, support each other, have grand fun together and create special memories. Our events may not be happening in a traditional sense, but we will stay connected. Please keep checking our website, Facebook page, and emails for messages and information. Be well!

Calling all Temple Emanu-El business owners! We want to help support our members during these challenging times. If you own a business, please send all contact and other information about your business by email here. To see registered Member Businesses, view this page.

Members Helping Members is doing a fantastic job! Our temple family is reaching out to help each other during this most unusual time.

Temple Emanu-El is a Reform congregation serving the communities of Sarasota and Manatee Counties, including Lakewood Ranch.

Temple Emanu-El is one of the five kindest and most friendly congregations in America, according to Reform Judaism Magazine. Every guest is greeted warmly and introduced to others. People come here and find friends. It does not take long for members and children to be known by name.

Temple Emanu-El thrives with activity. Every day there are classes, lectures, films, performances, and nationally award-winning programs. Our active Sisterhood and Brotherhood plan the social events that bring us together and build friendships. We are energized for Social Action and Social Justice, with special emphasis on reading readiness and hunger. We are devoted supporters of Israel. Once you find our congregation, you will never be bored.

Temple Emanu-El is spiritually alive. Our rabbis are soulful and engaging and care for us deeply. The services burst with attendance with spectacular music in a variety of styles. Come this Friday and see for yourself!

We are a family here at temple. We look after each other in time of illness or loss, and we celebrate and share our simchas. Most of us do not have family in town, so we cherish the community we have built together at temple.

Come and see why we have grown every year to become the largest congregation in the area and the vibrant center of Jewish life in Sarasota, Manatee, and Lakewood Ranch.
