Sisterhood

At Temple Emanu-El, our Sisterhood program offers the incredible women of our temple the opportunity to come together, enjoy the company of and inspire others. No matter your age, and whether you are single, married, divorced or widowed, we encourage you to join us as we come together for a wide variety of social and learning opportunities, and to make a difference in our community.

The Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood is responsible for running the Temple Gift Shop - click HERE for more information and to learn how to volunteer.

Join us for our monthly Sisterhood Book Club Zoom events.

Benefits of joining the Temple Emanu-El Sisterhood:

  • Your membership dues and fundraising activities provide significant annual support for our religious school.
  • We give gifts to our B’nai Mitzvah and Confirmands.
  • You become part of our Sisterhood family, and we learn and celebrate on this journey together.

Within the structure of the Congregation, Sisterhood is the collective presence, voice, and strength of women. It is the place where women can meet and work together for the benefit of the Congregation. Here, women can initiate and develop projects in which they have an interest. Sisterhood provides an outlet for the creative energy, talent, and leadership potential for individual Jewish women.

Get Involved!

There is no better way to find out about our Sisterhood at Temple Emanu-El than to join us for one of our many activities ranging from fashion shows to book reviews, Judaic education, and discussion of community concerns. Our Board Meetings are also open to all who would like to join us. The first year of membership is free to new female members, ages 21 and older, of the temple.
